SOLIDOL / 06 / Conditions
Read the temperature, not the colour
Operating range and dropping point are different numbers.
For conventional fatty solidol under GOST 1033-79, the published general operating range is −25 to +65 °C. Special lower-temperature conditions mentioned in specifications are not a blanket approval for every small bearing or grease gun.
The dropping point describes a laboratory transition; it is not a recommended continuous working temperature. A product may be unsuitable for a hot assembly long before a dramatic visible change occurs. The temperature graphic here deliberately marks the published general range, rather than implying a universal failure threshold.
If an assembly runs hotter than expected, investigate its load, alignment, lubricant choice and grease quantity. Adding more of the same material is not a temperature-control strategy. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s limits.
