The best amount is the specified amount

More grease can become part of the problem.

A bearing housing is not a container to fill simply because there is empty space. Grease quantity, distribution and running-in affect how an assembly behaves. Excess lubricant can raise operating temperature, particularly at higher speeds.

Begin with the machine’s procedure and the actual service point. Keep the supply clean, identify the product and quantity, and note anything unusual before and after service. A useful maintenance record describes an action and an observation, not just a tick in a box.

The maintenance sequence is intentionally simple: identify, inspect, consult, service, record. It is a memory aid, not a universal lubrication schedule. Relubrication intervals and quantities belong to the equipment’s own instructions and operating history.
